In the 46th minute of Tuesday’s Western Conference playoff Game 2 in Helsinki between Jokerit and Torpedo, visiting head coach Peteris Skudra was handed a game misconduct penalty for abusing the officials after one of his forwards, Kaspars Daugavins, received a major plus game misconduct penalty for boarding.

After reviewing the incident, KHL Disciplinary Committee upheld the referee’s decision, and as a result, the Nizhny Novgorod coach has been suspended from the bench for one game.
