The KHL Disciplinary Committee has reviewed an incident from the 56th minute of Friday’s game in Vladivostok between Admiral and Sibir, in which home forward Dmitry Sayustov was handed a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for checking to the head and neck area.

After studying the episode, the Committee upheld the referee’s decision. As this was the player’s second 20-minute penalty of the current season, following a game misconduct for an identical offense against Jokerit on the 19th of January, he receives an automatic one-game suspension for repeat offending. Dmitry Sayustov is therefore banned from Sunday’s Game 4 of the series in Vladivostok.
