The KHL Disciplinary Committee has investigated the episode that led to Sibir goaltender Alexander Salak receiving a game misconduct penalty (20 minutes) for abusing the officials following the Novosibirsk men’s overtime defeat at the hands of Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Monday. The Committee studied the evidence and ruled that the referee made the correct decision, and as a result, Salak must serve the mandatory five-game suspension.
