Thursday was a remarkably quiet day on the KHL transfer market, with a grand total of two contracts being signed, but there was a strong international flavor in both deals.

French forward Damien Fleury, whose resume includes spells in France, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and lately at Schwenninger Wild Wings in Germany, is the latest player to join Kunlun Red Star. The 30-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with the men from Beijing.

On busier days, news of players extending their contracts can often slip under the radar, but the second deal of the day is certainly worth a mention: Lokomotiv's formidable Swedish captain, the former Toronto, Washington and Calgary defenseman Staffan Kronwall, 33, has agreed to stay at the club for at least another year.
