Two more players have been disqualified following Saturday’s fierce encounter in Nizhny Novgorod between Torpedo and Dinamo Minsk.

The 34th-minute major penalty (5 minutes) for fisticuffs handed to Torpedo forward Carter Ashton was his second of the current campaign, which means the Canadian incurs an automatic one-game suspension for repeat offending.

The second episode occurred with a mere 19 seconds of regulation time remaining, when Ashton’s team mate, defenseman Kirill Vorobyov, picked up his third misconduct penalty (10 minutes) of the season, thereby earning an automatic one-game suspension.
