The KHL Disciplinary Committee reviewed a number of episodes from Wednesday’s match in Ufa between Salavat Yulaev and SKA Saint Petersburg, including the the 55th-minute incident which saw Ufa defenseman Grigory Panin sent to the locker room.

After studying the evidence, the Committee upheld the referee's decision to impose a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for injuring Petersburg forward Nikolai Prokhorkin by illegal use of the knee. Consequently, Panin has been fined and suspended for four games.
