Burdasov's fellow Russian international, forward Denis Kokarev, has completed a series of deals which saw him move from Salavat Yulaev to CSKA Moscow (in exchange for Burdasov) and then swiftly back East to join Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The 32-year-old, a World Championship gold medalist in 2012 and a two-time Gagarin Cup-winner during his years with Dynamo Moscow, has played in every season of the KHL.

There was yet more work for the Salavat Yulaev HR Department when the Ufa men agreed an exchange with Sibir, which saw 29-year-old Russian international forward Evgeny Bodrov set off for Novosibirsk and 24-year-old defenseman Fyodor Belyakov move in the opposite direction.

Ugra has recruited Czech Republic international forward Vojtech Polak on a one-way, one-year contract. The much traveled 32-year-old enjoyed 5 outings in the NHL for the Dallas Stars a decade ago, and spent the 2016-17 season at Severstal.
