To mark the end of the fourth month’s play of the eighth season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the month in four categories.

Best goaltender was
Dominik Furch (Avangard), who played in 9 games and helped his team to victory in 7 of them, ending the month with 3 shutouts (including 2 on the road), a goals against average of 1.56 and a save percentage of .9468;

Best defenseman was
Kevin Dallman (Barys), who from 10 outings yielded 6 wins and 11 points (1+10), including 7 in powerplay. Dallman also recorded 11 hits, struck 34 shots at goal, blocked 10 shots from the opposition and merited a +3 for the month;

Best forward was
Danis Zaripov (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), with 11 points (8+3) from just 8 appearances. Zaripov’s haul included doubles in three successive games and he also struck three game-winners;

Best rookie was 20-year-old Lokomotiv defenseman
Vladislav Gavrikov, who played in 8 games, 7 of which were victories, averaging 16 minutes 55 seconds of ice time and contributing 3 points (2+1), 11 hits and 7 blocks. Gavrikov earned a +7 for the month and did not receive a single minus.
