To mark the end of the third round of the Gagarin Cup play-offs – the Conference finals - the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the series in four categories.

Best goaltender was
Ilya Sorokin (CSKA), who guarded the Red Army net against SKA throughout all four victorious games, two of which were shutouts. Sorokin finished the series with a save percentage of 97.84 and a goals against average of 1.62;

Best defenseman was
Sami Lepisto (Salavat Yulaev), who, despite being on the losing side against Metallurg, contributed 6 points (4+2), 5 blocks and 16 shots on goal. Lepisto earned a +2 for the series, and the Ufa men’s sole victory (Game 3) came thanks to a double by the D-man from Finland, which included the game-winner;

Best forward was
Alexander Semin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), with 7 points (2+5) in five outings – the highest of any player in the Conference finals. Semin merited a +3 for the series and did not receive a single minus in any game. He also fired 17 shots at goal, and in Game 4 he struck the game-winner;

Best rookie was 19-year-old SKA forward
Alexander Dergachyov, who played in all four outings and recorded one assist, 7 shots at goal, 13 hits and an average ice time of 14 minutes 20 seconds. As with Semin, Dergachyov did not merit a single minus in any game of the series.
