To mark the end of the twenty-third week of the tenth season of the Championship, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.
– Best goaltender, for the second time this season, was Juha Metsola (Amur), who played in three road games, winning two (both at the home of Kunlun) to keep the Khabarovsk team's playoff chances alive. The 28-year-old Finn ended the week with a save percentage of 92.59 and a goals against average of 2.21;
– Best defenseman was Maxim Kondratyev (Amur), who played in front of Metsola in all three road games, and hit a double in the match against Kunlun on the 27th. These two goals were his first and second of the season, and included the game-winner. The 35-year-old Russian's final figures were 3 (2+1) points, 9 shots, 4 hits, 8 blocks and no negative ratings, earning a +1 for the week;
– Best forward was Alexander Khokhlachyov (Spartak), who in only two matches tallied 6 (4+2) points – the best total of any player in the League over the past seven days. The 24-year-old Russian attacker's haul included a hat-trick against Severstal;
– Best rookie was 18-year-old Dinamo Riga forward Emils Gegeris, who was given three outings, two of which were on the road, and finished the week with 3 goals, 9 shots, and an an average ice time of 10 minutes 19 seconds. The Latvian teenager celebrated his first goals of the season with his double against Spartak, and he did not receive a single negative rating, meriting a +4 for the week.
