Forward Pavel Datsyuk has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with SKA Saint Petersburg. The 39-year-old Stanley Cup, Gagarin Cup, and Olympic gold medal winner arrived at SKA in 2016, after 15 seasons with the Red Wings.

The Petersburg Army Men have also persuaded another Stanley Cup champion, former Senators, Coyotes and Blackhawks defenseman David Rundblad, to stay on at the club. The 27-year-old Swedish international has extended his contract by two years.
