Russian international forward Alexander Semin (1984), formerly of the Capitals, Hurricanes and Canadiens (NHL totals: 701 games, 254 goals, 297 assists), has agreed a one-year contract with Vityaz. Semin won the Gagarin Cup with Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2016, but spent the 2017-18 campaign with Sokol in the VHL.

Spartak has agreed a one-year deal with defenseman Maxim Goncharov (1989), who spent the previous three campaigns at Salavat Yulaev.
