Nikita Filatov signed a one-year contract with Spartak Moscow, the ninth KHL team in his career. Also Nikolai Zherdev, Igor Radulov, and Denis Kazionov played for the same amount of clubs, but the absolute record is held by defenseman Alexander Ryazantsev, who managed to play for 11 teams.
Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg and defenseman Dmitry Tsapayev agreed on a two-way, one-year deal. Last season Tsapayev played in the VHL for Gornyak Uchaly. They have also completed a trade with Buran Voronezh of the VHL to secure forward Igor Goleshchikhin in exchange of a monetary compensation.
Ak Bars Kazan signed a new one-year contract with Alexander Svitov. His previous contract in Kazan run out last April 30th and he was an unrestricted free agent. They have also signed a try-out contract with ex-Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk defenseman Nikita Gerasimov.
Vityaz Podolsk and Pavel Gorokhov decided to mutually terminate their relationship.
CSKA Moscow signed a try-out contract with forward Nikita Korostelev. The 21-years-old forward most recently played with the Laval Rockets of the AHL.
SKA St. Petersburg signed a one-way, four-year deal with Olympic champion, forward Ilya Kablukov.
Moreover, SKA also completed a trade with Traktor Chelyabinsk to get forward Alexei Kruchinin in exchange of a monetary compensation. Kruchinin was the second top scorer for his team during the playoffs and their third top-scoring forward for the whole season. Earlier, Kruchinin played for SKA during the 2011/2012 season. We should also remember that SKA’s coaching staff for the upcoming KHL season will feature former Traktor Chelyabinsk head coach Anvar Gatiyatulin.
Traktor Chelyabinsk filled the gap signing ex-Sochi forward Evgeny Lapenkov to a one-year deal.
HC Sochi signed a two-way, two-year contract with former WJC participant Kirill Belyayev.
Avangard Omsk and Salavat Yulaev Ufa completed a trade exchanging the rights on Artur Lauta with young goalie Georgy Dubrovsky. Lauta received a qualifying offer from Avangard Omsk but hasn’t accepted it thus being now a restricted free agent.
Kunlun Red Star signed goalie Alexander Lazushin, who was an unrestricted free agent after his contract with Lada Togliatti run out last April 30, and defenseman Blake Parlett, who spent two seasons in the KHL from 2015 to 2017 with Medvescak Zagreb. Most recently, Parlett skated with Eisbaren Berlin of the DEL. Both players signed a one-year deal with the Chinese franchise.
