The first week of 2019 was the most-attended regular season week in the whole Kontinental Hockey League’s history. 182,060 spectators flooded the gate for the 22 scheduled games, for an average of 8,275 a night.

Moreover, for the first time ever, the average attendance for a regular season week surpassed the 8,000-mark.

The best-attended games were Dinamo Minsk – SKA, played on January 4 in front of an audience of 15,086; Dinamo Minsk – CSKA, played on January 6 in front of 14,886 spectators; Spartak – Sibir, played on January 5 and gathering 11,111 spectators; Spartak – Barys, played on January 3 in front of a crowd of 11,019. The latest game in the top-five was HC Dynamo – Avtomobilist (10,797) , played on January 4. It was the first game for the Blues-and-Whites at the brand-new VTB Arena.

The capacity percentage was also a new regular-season record, with 88%.
