The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the second week of the Regular Season in four categories.

- best goalie was Jakub Kovar (Avtomobilist), who won both his games last week. The Czech netminder posted a shutout in the game against Salavat Yulaev and helped Avtomobilist to achieve a SO win against Metallurg. Kovar had a saves percentage of 96.97% and a goals-against average of 0.96. His shutout streak lasted 107 minutes and 45 seconds.

- best defenseman was Jesse Virtanen (Traktor), who had 3 (1+2) points in four away games last week. On Sep. 14, during a match against Kunlun Red Star, the Finnish international scored his first KHL goal that later emerged as the game-winner. Virtanen posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-5 (best figure of the week). He also blocked two shots from the opposition.

- best forward was Rafael Bikmullin (Neftekhimik), who scored 5 (4+1) points in three games last week (led the league). The 22-years-old forward scored points in each game and equaled his top KHL season. In the game against Avtomobilist, Bikmullin posted a hat trick – his first in his career and the first hat trick of the 2019-20 season.

- best rookie was defenseman Mikhail Gordeyev (HC Sochi), who posted a goal in three games last week. During the game against Vityaz, the blueliner scored his first KHL goal and helped his team reaching OT. Gordeyev ended the week with a plus-2 rating, two hits, three blocked shots, and an average time on ice of 14 minutes and 53 seconds.
