The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the fifth week of the Regular Season in four categories.

- best goalie was Janis Kalnins (Jokerit), who won two games from two last week. The Latvian goalie posted a 96.22% saves percentage and a 0.99 goals-against average (best figure of the week).

- best defenseman was Philip Larsen (Salavat Yulaev), who won two games from two with his team last week, scoring 6 (2+4) points. In the Thursday match against Torpedo, the Danish international scored 4 (2+4) points. Larsen posted no negative ratings, ending the week plus-5 (best result of the week).

- best forward was Kirill Kaprizov (CSKA), who won two of three games with his team last week, scoring 5 (4+1) points. The Red Army forward posted no negative ratings and was plus-5 (best result of the week). Kaprizov posted 10 shots on goal, 1 hit, and a hat-trick in the 9-3 CSKA win over Spartak Moscow.

- best rookie was forward Artyom Galimov (Ak Bars), who won three games with his team last week, scoring 2 (2+0) points. Galimov had the game-winning goal in the match against Dynamo Moscow (4-2). The 20-years-old forward had an average time on ice of 13 minutes and 32 seconds, had four shots on goal, and recorded three hits.
